The Makerspace is growing — and that growth comes with real needs. We’re seeing more activity, more projects, and more momentum than we can support alone.

If you’ve ever wanted to contribute your skills, tools, or time to something meaningful, this is your invitation.

There are many ways to help.

🛠 Current Equipment Needs

We’re actively looking for support with the following:

  • Recording room reorganization

  • Tool storage improvements

Build Projects

  • Sewing cart build

  • Shop carts & mobile storage solutions

  • Material rack upgrades

🎁 Materials + Equipment Wishlist

We are building a public wishlist for:

  • Shop-grade lumber (hardwood + plywood)

  • Dust collection fittings + ducting

  • Storage bins and drawer systems

  • 3D printer parts + maintenance kits

  • Sewing station hardware

  • Safety equipment upgrades

  • Lighting improvements

  • Clamps (always more clamps)

🙌 Volunteer Opportunities

We’re opening structured volunteer days and project-based help.

Ways you can contribute:

  • CnC machine setup + calibration

  • Electrical support

  • Shop organization days

  • Photography + documentation

  • Teaching assistant support

  • Event setup + breakdown

  • Administrative help

Whether you can give two hours or a full weekend, it makes a difference.

♻️ Items We’re Giving Away

As we reorganize and upgrade, we’ll also be clearing out equipment and materials.

We’ll post:

  • Surplus materials

  • Old fixtures

  • Outdated and unused equipment

  • Project remnants

Members and volunteers will get first access.
