VENDOR INFORMATION, RULES AND REGULATIONS
Thank you for your interest in participating in the Burien Farmers Market, produced by Discover Burien. Our market is a vibrant, community-focused space that supports local farmers, food producers, artisans, and small businesses.
Please read the following information carefully before completing the vendor registration process.
MARKET OVERVIEW
Market Days & Hours
Every Thursday
May–October: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
November–April (Winter Market): 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Vendors are allowed one hour for tear-down, unless prior arrangements are made with the Market Manager.
Vendor Eligibility & Product Guidelines
All vendors must grow, craft, or process the products they sell.
Products are evaluated on quality, value, and contribution to the overall market experience.
Used, antique, or secondhand items are not permitted in the Farmers Market, but may qualify for Market Alley.
Resellers may apply to participate in Market Alley only.
All products are subject to inspection and approval by the Market Manager at any time.
Vendor Requirements & Expectations
Booths & Tents
Booth spaces are approximately 10’ x 10’.
Vendors exceeding their allotted space may be charged additional fees or required to reduce their footprint.
All tents and awnings must be fire-resistant and secured with weights on all four corners.
Minimum weight: 25 lbs per corner (100 lbs total).
No stakes, poles, signs, or attachments may be placed into the ground or attached to buildings.
No marking or painting on gravel or asphalt is allowed.
Set-Up (Load-In)
Vendor access begins at 7:30 AM.
Enter from SW 152nd Street.
Follow one-way traffic flow:
Park on the left of the yellow line; pass on the right.
ALL vehicles must be removed by 9:30 AM.
Vendors arriving after 9:30 AM must hand-cart items into the market.
No vehicle access after 9:30 AM.
⚠️ Please unload quickly and move your vehicle promptly. Customer and business parking along SW 152nd Street is limited and strictly enforced by the City. Violations may result in $50 parking tickets.
Free all-day parking is available at the Metro Transit lot and is strongly encouraged.
Tear-Down
Tear-down may not begin until:
6:00 PM (May–October)
4:00 PM (November–April)
Early pack-up is not permitted and may result in removal from future markets.
Exit routes mirror load-in traffic patterns.
Stall Assignments
Stall placement is determined by:
Commitment and attendance frequency
Farmers
Food processors
Crafters
Fees, Registration & Payment
Annual Vendor Registration
$75 annual registration fee (required for all vendors)
Includes signed vendor waiver
Registration begins at your first market date attended
Daily Booth Fees
Collected on-site by the Market Manager between 2:00–5:00 PM:

Non-profits are not charged an annual registration fee.
All vendors must complete the Vendor Waiver during checkout.

Please arrive between 7:30–9:30 AM on your scheduled market day.
Vendor Conduct & Policies
Clean-Up
Vendors must leave their area clean and free of debris.
All trash must be placed in designated dumpsters.
No dumping of chemicals, grease, ash, hay, straw, or foreign materials.
Discover Burien is not responsible for items left behind.
Signage & Printed Materials
Vendors must display a clearly visible business name sign.
Printed materials must relate directly to vendor products.
Petitions, political materials, or unrelated flyers are prohibited unless approved in advance.
Pricing & Promotion
Vendors are responsible for pricing, sales tax, and licensing compliance.
Advertising discounted pricing or promoting non-market locations is not permitted on-site.
Music & Power
No amplified music, paging systems, or generators unless pre-approved.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Vendors must comply with King County Public Health regulations.
All food vendors and samplers must hold appropriate:
Health permits
Food handler cards
Required registrations
Vendors selling unsafe or contaminated food may be suspended until cleared by Public Health.

Smoking, Drugs & Alcohol
No smoking or open flames permitted within the market area.
Illegal drugs or alcohol possession/use will not be tolerated.
Organic Labeling
Use of the term “organic” must comply with Washington State Department of Agriculture rules.
Vendors must advertise truthfully and answer customer questions accurately.
Advertising & Promotion
Market-wide advertising is coordinated by Discover Burien for the benefit of all vendors.
Vendors are strongly encouraged to share market participation on social media.
Licensing, Taxes & Grievances
Vendors are responsible for all required business licenses and taxes in Washington State.

Final Notes
