Build it yourself, light it up.
Create your favorite phrase in lights! In this class you will create an LED neon sign with custom words. You are allowed up to 4 words, but you will be limited to the font Barcelona, a script font. You will work with our makerspace manager to design the sign to ensure the sign is going to look fabulous! Make your name, your friend's name, a short motto, whatever! You’ll learn how to lay out your design, bend and route LED neon, and practice basic soldering skills to bring your sign to life. These are foundational techniques you can use to create custom neon-style pieces in the future.
This class is beginner-friendly. If you’ve never soldered before, don’t worry — we’ll guide you step-by-step. You’ll leave with a finished, working LED sign and the confidence to tackle more advanced designs later.
