Woodworking class: Coat Rack
Eaton-Inspired Coat Rack Workshop
Where woodworking meets thoughtful design.
Combine your woodworking skills with interior design principles as you build a modern, space-saving coat rack inspired by the Eaton Hook Rack from Rejuvenation. This piece blends clean lines with functional hardware — creating something that works beautifully in an entryway, bedroom, or studio space.
In this class, you’ll learn how to select the right wood species for both durability and visual impact, properly glue and clamp components, cut precise shapes on the bandsaw, and sand and finish your piece for a professional look. We’ll also walk through layout considerations so your hooks feel intentional, balanced, and well-proportioned.
Your finished rack will measure approximately 18–20 inches long and can function as a coat hanger or stand alone as minimalist wall art. Along the way, you’ll gain skills you can apply to future furniture and home design projects.
You will learn:
How to select wood species for strength and aesthetics
Proper gluing and clamping techniques
Bandsaw cutting and shaping
Sanding and finishing for a clean result
Basic hardware installation and layout planning
This class is great for beginners ready to build something functional, as well as intermediate makers wanting to refine their precision and design awareness.
You’ll leave with a finished, install-ready coat rack and the confidence to design your own custom wall pieces in the future.
Come make something special to show off in your home.
