B-Town Derby sign ups

Time to satisfy your need for speed! The B-town derby is your chance to race your own custom designed and built wooden car for fun and glory! each racer will start with a kit provided by Discover Burien and will be able to make their own car to race at the car show. Cars must follow the build rules in order to race for prizes, but all cars, regardless of rules compliance, can race for fun. 

To get your kit, sign up here first. You can then bring your digital ticket to the makerspace, farmers market, or Discover Buiren on select days to get you kit. 

If you need  help, tools, or space to build your car you can also come to the Discover Burien Makerspace to get it done! The Makerspace will be open to racers May 6tth and June 6th-20th from 11:00am to 6:00pm to help racers build their cars. Racers can Show up anytime on those days, but we would prefer it if you could email ahead of time to let us know you are coming. There will be three prize categories on race day:

1: First, second, third, and fourth place for the race bracket
2: Crowd favorite design

3: Fastest run down the tack.
Awards will be given out with the car show awards at the end of the day.
