Beginner Woodworking: Tool Caddy with Wendy

Ready to dive into woodworking? Wendy is here to get you started — the right way. In this welcoming, hands-on class, you’ll build a practical wooden tool caddy from scratch, learning core skills you’ll use again and again.

From measuring and marking to cutting, drilling, and gluing, Wendy will guide you step by step as you create a sturdy, good-looking companion to carry your tools — whether you’re just starting out or returning to a favorite hobby.

Along the way, you’ll gain confidence using both hand tools and power tools, including:

  • Chop saw

  • Drill press

  • Marking gauge

  • And more essential shop tools

This class is designed to be approachable, supportive, and skill-building, with plenty of time for questions and hands-on practice.

Why take this class?

  • Build a finished project you’ll actually use

  • Learn foundational woodworking techniques

  • Get comfortable in the shop environment

  • Perfect starting point for new makers

This is the first in a Saturday morning series where Wendy will walk you through a variety of beginner woodworking projects — each one building your skills and confidence. Keep an eye out to see what she has planned next!
