Audiobook Ministries began in 1980 as Tape ministries NW when a group of volunteers led by Crystal Bullis from John Knox Presbyterian Church in Normandy Park WA. began recording Christian books for a friend who was blind. Over thirty years later, our staff and volunteers are still recording and producing books, now in digital format. We are in the process of converting our library to digital format that works with the National Library Service’s talking book player. Our ever growing number of digital books continues to grow.
Our office is open 3 days per week located near the SeaTac Airport.
Awesome Kids Day Organization
We believe that kids were born not just to survive but to THRIVE! We know that for kids to thrive we need to provide them with some basics. They need outstanding nutrition, access to books, places to play as they build fine and gross motor skills, emotional nurturing, friendships, access to education, outstanding physical health, and strong community.
Awesome Kids Day is a day for us to celebrate the naturally healthy and joyful state of the children in our community and encourage them to live their lives with health, gratitude and joy.

Trained volunteer adult leaders reach out to kids wherever they are: school campus, athletic fields and in local hangouts. Leaders build mentor relationships with teens and walk with them through the ups and downs of adolescence. Leaders also offer kids a weekly event which provides a safe place to have fun, games and serious life talks. In the summer leaders take teens to Young Life camps where they have ridiculous amounts of fun, high adventure and the opportunity to consider God’s role in their lives. Young Life also provides kids with personal growth, leadership and service opportunities. GHT Young Life currently has leaders volunteering with students from Mt. South Sound Nature School
Naturalist Educator & Wilderness Skills Instructor
As a child Porcupine spent countless hours exploring, observing, swimming, and fishing on the lands and waters of Lake Erie. Curious and thankful for the generations that came before us Porcupine received a degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Toledo. Noticing a connection with his childhood and the next generation of kids, Porcupine became a Resident Naturalist teaching hands-on inquiry-based science for the Juneau School District. Wanting to deepen his naturalist training he completed the rigorous, nine-month residential Anake Naturalist Training Program at the Wilderness Awareness School in Duvall, WA. During that time he also completed the certification through Kamana Four, a self directed three-year nature study program. From there he has served as a freelance naturalist in various settings on the West coast ultimately becoming the In-School Programs Specialist at Seward Park Audubon. Porcupine throughly enjoys free imaginative play and you might find him at a local park building fairy houses.
